Timeline of the Haynes Place and the Musquiz Grant - Introduction
1864 Seal of the County Court of Jackson County
The list of events in the Timeline pages represent essentially the complete history of the Haynes place, at least from the standpoint of the land transactions that were involved, starting with the original Mexican land grant to Ramon Musquiz and proceeding until about 1910, at which time most of the Haynes place was owned by the grandchildren of Thomas and Celia Ann Haynes. It also includes some important events and activities in the lives of the Haynes people, in Texas, and in the nation.
These links provide a very good way to view the contents of this web site. If followed from beginning to end, they essentially tell the story, as well as we have been able to piece it together, of Thomas Haynes and his family. Although we call this a timeline, the list is not arranged in perfect chronological order. A few items were deliberately placed out of order when pairing them with a related item made more sense.
