KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS, that we, Amos Haynes and Julia Haynes, wife of the said Amos Haynes, of the County of Jackson in the State of Texas, in consideration of the sum of Five Thousand and Eighty-five Dollars ($5,085) to us in hand paid by F. S. Stockdale and John M. Humphrey, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, have sold, transferred, conveyed and delivered, and by these presents do sell, transfer, convey and deliver unto the said F. S. Stockdale and John M. Humphrey, that certain stock of Cattle branded (brand shaped like a sideways H with a cup on top) ear mark (ear marks show cropped and undercut on the left ear and notched on the end of the right ear) consisting by actual amount Three Hundred and Fifty-three (353) Head, embracing cows, two year old steers and Heifers, yearlings and calves of the latter Forty-three are unbranded, and now following their mothers, but this conveyance further covers and includes all and every head of Stock in said Brand or belonging to the same including also the said brand, and ear mark and the right to use the same.
To have and to hold all the singular said Stock of Cattle herein before conveyed unto the said F. S. Stockdale and Jno. Humphrey, their heirs and assigns forever. And we the said Amos Haynes, and Julia Haynes do hereby covenant with the said F. S. Stockdale and Jno. Humphrey that we are the sole owners of the property hereby conveyed and have full right, and authority to sell the same, that said property is free of every lien and encumbrance, and that we hereby bind ourselves, our heirs, executors, and administrators to warrant and defend the title thereto against every person whomever.
Witness our hands this 19th day of October A.D. 1882.

BEFORE ME, J. E. Carpenter a Notary Public in and for Victoria County, Texas, on this day personally appeared Amos Haynes and Julia E. Haynes, wife of Amos Haynes know to me to be the persons whose names are subscribed to the foregoing instrument, and acknowledged to me that the executed the same for the purposes, and consideration therein expressed, and the said Julia E. Haynes wife of the said Amos Haynes, having been examined by me privily and apart from her husband, and having the same fully explained to her, she the said Julia E. Haynes, acknowledged such instrument to be her act and deed, and she declared that she had willingly signed the same for the purposes, and considerations therein expressed and that she did not wish to retract it.
