Deeds and Other Documents: 1890-1892
Greater Roadrunner
Life on the Haynes place took a dramatic turn during the early 1890s with the deaths of brothers Christopher and Amos Haynes in 1891 and the death of matriarch Celia Ann Haynes in 1892 or later. (Following all that, the very premature death of Amos's daughter, Mary Julia Haynes Whalen in 1895 at age 28 certainly must have accented the sense of gloom.)
