Christopher Haynes Gives Power of Attorney to Celia Ann Haynes

County of Jackson
March 28, 1864
Know all men by these presents: That I, Christopher Haynes of said county and state, and Executor of the Last Will and Testament of Thomas Haynes, late of said County, deceased, do by these presents make, constitute and appoint my mother, Celia A. Haynes, my agent and attorney in fact, for me and in my name to take charge of and control the property and assets of the Estate of said deceased and to transact all business connected with the said Estate and the settlement thereof, to sign my name as Executor and to do and perform every and any thing which I might lawfully do in and about the premises, and I hereby fully notify and confirm all her lawful acts done and executed in the execution of the power, giving to the same the like effect as if done by myself, personally.
In testimony whereof I have hereto signed my name as Executor, aforesaid, on the 28th day of March A.D. 1864

Starr, Clerk of the County Court within and for said County and State, personally came and appeared Christopher Haynes, to me well known, who duly acknowledged the foregoing to be his act and deed, and declared that he signed and delivered the same for the purposes and consideration therein stated.
To certify which I hereto sign my name and affix my seal of office at Texana, this 31st day of March AD 1864
