County of Jackson
Know all men by these presents, that I, Amos W. Haynes, a citizen of Jackson County in the State of Texas, for and in consideration of the sum of five thousand dollars ($5,000) to me paid, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, have this day granted, bargained, sold and conveyed, and by these presents do grant, bargain, sell, and convey unto Celia A. Haynes, a citizen of said county and state, all the following described property, to wit:
960 acres of land out of the Ramon Musquiz 5½ league grant, it being the lower part of the land heretofore deeded to me by C. A. Haynes by deed bearing the date 21st day of August, A.D. 1882, to which deed reference is made for more certainty.
Also all that certain stock of cattle ranging in Jackson and surrounding counties, estimated at about four hundred (400) head, branded “C H” and marked crop and underbit in the right ear.
To have and to hold the above described property, together with all and singular the rights and appurtenances thereto in any wise belonging, unto the said Celia A. Haynes, her heirs or assigns forever, and I do hereby bind myself, my heirs, executors, and administrators to warrant and forever defend all and singular the said property unto the said Celia A. Haynes, her heirs and assigns, against every person whomsoever lawfully claiming or to claim the same or any part thereof.

BEFORE ME, T. H. Clement, Clerk of the County Court, State and County aforesaid, on this day personally appeared Amos Haynes known to me to be the person whose same is subscribed to the foregoing instrument, and acknowledged to me that he executed the same for the purposes and consideration therein expressed.
